Laws and Regulations
The Maryland Public Employee Relations Board (PERB) oversees public sector labor relations, establishing the rights and responsibilities of employees, employers and employee organizations to ensure fair and effective collective bargaining.

Public Employee Relations Act (PERA)
Enacted on July 1, 2023, PERA consolidated the jurisdiction and authority of the State Labor Relations Board, Higher Education Labor Relations Board, and Public School Labor Relations Board into a single entity, PERB. The three previous boards are no longer active.
